Mia's Den

Mia is 11 and living with Metastic Osteosarcoma – a form of cancer which has led to her having to lose a leg – and she now has a prosthetic leg.  It was her wish to have a den in the back garden of her home, in Cardigan, so she has somewhere to spend time with her friends as she’s spent so long away from them during her treatment.

Together with Make-A-Wish, a team of Poundland volunteers helped make Mia’s wish a reality as they transformed a garden house into a magical den for Mia.

Huge thanks to our team: Gareth Alexander, Kevin Wilson, Patrick Hunt, Natalie Morgan, Mark Lewis, Debbie Nicholls, Ben Saunders and Kerry Williams.
